“Us” consists of myself, Emily Williams, and my gorgeous fiancé Rob Walker. At time of writing (2011) we’re 29 and 30 respectively and have been together for 6 years. We met through friends over 10 years ago and after a long standing friendship took the plunge and started dating. Neither of us have looked back.

 The engagement was magical (you can read about it in my first blog), the first few weeks of dreaming of the perfect wedding were delightful. Then the moment comes where you have to be realistic and real hard work starts. Turns out planning a wedding is head-fuck. There is so much to think about, so many balls to keep in the air, too much bloody money required… but I love it! I’ve bought (too) many wedding magazine’s in the last few months, seeking that gem of inspiration, and after reading copious articles on the “do’s and don’ts”, stories of past brides and what they’d do different, coupled with the sugar coated tips and hints on creating your perfect day, blah blah, I decided keep my own diary of my experiences in planning our big day.

 …And I’ve decided to share that with you. How kind.

It won’t be romantic, pink and sparkly. It won’t be fluffy, heart warming yet patronising. It’s literally an open door into the life of a 20-something (ok, nearly 30) year old Bride planning her Wedding Day with every high and low that smacks me in the face on the way….
