Well thats that. It’s 2013 and what with the passing of a ‘Very Merry Christmas’ and an alcohol fuelled New Years, the wedding and honeymoon now
seem like a distant memory. All that planning, all the tears, the extreme highs, the nerve-jangling lows, the 18 months of preparation… Over. Gone. Moved from consuming every thought, of every minute of every day, to the bank of generic memories, muddled with every celebration ever experienced.
Odd.
Don’t get me wrong, it was the most amazing day of our lives (cemented by the fact i’m still talking about it when, let’s face it, the world has moved on) but I do find it strange that the feelings surrounding a day that holds so much significance for such a long period of time can suddenly, I don’t know, fade. The memories we have will last forever, aided by some brilliant photography and videos, but the wedding bubble has well and truly burst… The wedding is now just that, a memory, and life is most definitely back to normal.
But it’s not all doom and gloom (except the weather). 2013 is going to be another exciting year; although not quite to the same magnitude as 2012 I grant you. It will be more business focused than personal – I don’t think we’ll have another momentous personal ‘moment’ until the dreaded blue line appears – and thats a while off yet. Believe me.
At In Any Event we’ve now launched our marketing services. Boom! We signed a new client at the beginning of this month and hope to continue in full force this year. Website needs to be updated and go live, and I need to get on the case with the social media antics too… but one step at a time!
So Mr. 2013, although you seem to have hijacked my emotions from last year, I have my memories, so I welcome you with open arms. I’m ready; LET’S DO THIS THING…
