OK, so I did say I was going to do a blog about the hen do; and I am, I have started it, promise. But something else has come up and I just had to tell you.

So just over a month-or-so ago I got a call from a production company called Monkey Kingdom. Rob and I had previously got down to the last few couples to take part in a programme that was aired over Xmas 2011. We had to pull out last minute but it turns out they had kept a record of our details. When a new Sky Living show came up they thought of us.

They asked if we would apply and we said yes. A few phone interviews, a screen test and 2 Sky review boards followed, then yesterday we got THE call. Unbelievably Sky said yes to us!! I don’t think we really know what we’ve let ourselves in for…

We are one of eight couples taking part in a show that currently has the working title of ‘Newlyweds’. No surprise where the story starts; our wedding day. Yeah. Our wedding day. At this point I can image the change in expression of some of you, as the realisation hits those of you attending the day that you may be filmed. Sorry about that 😉

The show follows the eight couples for the first year of their married life. Hahahaha. YEAR!!! What that actually boils down to is meeting up with the production company 3 times a month for full interviews, covering points of interest happening that month, etc, and between that we have our own ‘diary style’ camera to capture anything that happens when the crew aren’t there.

It’s going to be interesting to say the least. It wont air until around the beginning of 2014 so I’ve got a while to decide if I’m actually going to watch it. Jury’s out on that one at the mo ;o)
